Spirit Contest

Grab your face paint and costumes! The Monster Bash Spirit Contest is all about which team gets decked out in the best Halloween-themed gear. The spookier you and your entire crew dresses and the more spirit you show, the better chances your team will have to win the Spirit Contest!

Spirit Contest judging will take place at your first pool game on Saturday unless otherwise communicated to the team. Ex: In the event your team plays 1 pool game on Friday night and 1 pool game on Saturday, you will be judged at your first pool game on Saturday. If your team plays both pool games on Friday night, you will be judged at your first pool game on Friday.

A Champion, Runner Up, and 3rd Place overall in the tournament will be awarded. Coaches will be communicated with after the event regarding their winnings.

Grab your Halloween themed dugout decorations and get to decorating! Dugouts or Haunted Houses? You decide! The sky is the limit for this creative contest! The more creative and more decorations your dugout holds, the better your chances are at winning!

Dugout Decorating contest judging will take place at the same time as the Spirit Contest at your first pool game on Saturday, unless otherwise communicated to the team. Ex: In the event your team plays 1 pool game on Friday night and 1 pool game on Saturday, you will be judged at your first pool game on Saturday. If your team plays both pool games on Friday night, you will be judged at your first pool game on Friday.

PG Love Medals

In 2012, MSP (now Perfect Game) lost a vibrant part of our family with the passing of Josh Williams. Josh, the one who phrased “MSP LOVE,” made it his mission to build relationships with everyone he met, while reminding us of the importance of living life to the fullest each and every day.

As a Perfect Game family, we have committed ourselves to continuing Josh’s mission  to teach and lead others in demonstrating that same “PG LOVE” he so effortlessly displayed every day.

In youth sports we spend so much time chasing the performance based accomplishments, often missing the impact they can have on character.  That’s why our goal is to not award the best athlete or best player on the team, but to award a player who demonstrates a Championship attitude in other areas of life that we feel are more important. This is what makes this award different from a game MVP award!

Attributes to look for when handing out this medal:

  • Displays outstanding character on the field
  • Example of respect
  • Extraordinary example of sportsmanship
  • Example of hustle
Love Medal Card

Coaches will be given one love medal per pool game at check-in. At the conclusion of each pool game, your team will award a player from the opposing team with a “PG LOVE” medal, and the opposing team will do the same for yours.
