FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
PERFECT GAME EVENTS COMING TO BALLPARKS NATIONAL IN 2022
New partnership will bring three tournaments to the heart of Lake of the Ozarks
SHAWNEE, Kan. (July 9, 2021) – Ballparks National, the nation’s newest youth fastpitch and baseball sports facility located minutes from Lake of the Ozarks, has announced a partnership with Perfect Game, the nationwide leader in youth diamond sports, to bring three summertime events to the area in 2022.
“Our inaugural season has been very exciting, with teams coming to Ballparks National from across the country this year,” said Jeff Vernetti, Ballparks National General Manager. “The amenities we have assembled has created a true destination experience for families looking to add a vacation to their tournament schedule. It has been incredible watching the park fill with players and families week after week.”
The schedule of events kicks-off June 13-17, with a weeklong, five-game guarantee fastpitch tournament designed specifically for the 10A and 12A level divisions. Baseball teams in the 10Major and 11Major divisions will take to the turf the following week, June 20-24, for their own five-game guarantee event. A traditional weekend baseball tournament will fill the gap in between the experiences.
“Youth baseball and fastpitch are a full family experience and that’s why we’re excited to partner with Ballparks National,” said Matt Williams, Midwest Regional Youth Director with Perfect Game. “Our partner events for the summer of 2022 will provide the best of what youth diamond sports should be – high level competition with the highest quality on-the-field experience combined with off-the-field family fun that will create memories to last a lifetime.”
The weeklong events will include a player swag bag, coach’s gifts and livestream bracket play. Each game will be scored by Perfect Game’s DiamondKast, an online service that allows users to follow along as games are scored in real time. DiamondKast games also feature PitchSmart Tracker, daily and overall leaderboards, All-Tournament Teams and event stats.
The highlight of the events, however, will be the memories created by teams and their families thanks to the incredible facility at Ballparks National as well as the activities at the Lake of the Ozarks. Teams will not play more than two games a day, giving everyone a chance to enjoy their time at the lake whether golfing, water sports, state parks, fishing, amusement parks, camping and more.
Ballparks National, which opened in the fall of 2020, is a state-of-the-art, all-turf facility located in Macks Creek, Mo. The complex offers unique dining experience with high-quality food and beverage choices, including a rooftop bar with a full view of all five fields. Ballparks National also provides teams a full concierge service giving teams a dedicated customer service representative who serves as a one-stop shop for everything they need while spending time at the lake.
“Our week-long events are a tournament experience like no other. Teams can play at other facilities, but they won’t get the same experience, especially at the value we can offer, said Bob Ramsey, BPN Operations Director. “Families can stay in a variety lodging options, that we let them decide. No paying for your child to stay and paying for the family to stay elsewhere. The Ballparks National experience offers memorable events for both teams and families that are well managed on every detail, not to mention, the families get to experience the vacation family fun of the Lake of the Ozarks while they are here.”
The entire 2022 Perfect Game schedule of events will be released in October, including the three dates at Ballparks National.
