Brody Emperley (2025, Berryton, Kan.) was a standout at the plate and on the mound this weekend. He hit .846 this weekend with 11 total hits including a home run and a ground-rule double in the 13u championship game that may have been the hardest hit ball in the tournament all weekend. He scored 10 runs, drove in nine, and stole seven bases in a fantastic all-around performance. On the mound, he threw six innings while striking out eight. He showed a good feel for fastball command and has a loose and athletic delivery. Looks to be an interesting player to follow going forward.

Andrew Rohr (2026, Topeka, Kan) had a powerful showing with the bat this weekend. He hit .500 for the tournament with all of his hits going for extra-bases, including a home run. He has good present strength and utilizes his lower half well to drive the baseball. Showed well in the field as well where he made an impressive sliding play while ranging to his right and getting up to throw out a runner at first.

Carson May (2026, Olathe, Kan.) had one of the better all-around performances this weekend. Showed the ability to command a fastball in his outing on the mound. He made a great running catch towards the right field line while in the field. At the plate, he collected multiple extra-base hits while showing good bat speed and barrel control.

Jackson Lucht (2026, Shawnee, Kan.) showed good pop to all fields during the tournament, including an opposite field RBI double. He has good present strength and consistently barreled up the baseball this weekend. Worked hard behind the plate as well, showing some good footwork and effort blocking balls in the dirt.

Johnny Carver (2026, Raymore, Mo.) showed two-way ability this weekend. Handles the bat well, collecting multiple hits and multiple RBI at the plate. Pitched his team to a win in the championship game as well, allowing no hits in five scoreless innings. Carver was named the tournament MV-Pitcher. 

Dane Baxter (2025, Topeka, Kan.) found the barrel often this weekend, collecting two extra-base hits and five RBI. He hit an outstanding .444 for the tournament, but the performance with the bat was even better than the numbers suggest, as he had multiple hard hit outs. Makes all the plays at third base showing soft hands and even had an impressive backhand play where he got to show a strong and accurate arm.

Keaton Neal (2026, Olathe, Kan.) started out the tournament with three hits, including doubles to right field and left field in game one. Neal has a loose swing that produces good barrel whip that allows him to drive the ball to all fields. He’s a good athlete that runs the bases well and makes all the plays on defense. Very impressive young hitter to watch.

Ian Buehler (2025, Olathe, Kan.) was very impressive on the mound this weekend. He’s a good athlete that repeats his delivery well and shows a firm fastball and an impressive breaking ball. Both pitches are delivered from the same release point consistently. He struck out six batters in 3 2/3 innings this weekend. Buehler is an intriguing arm to follow going forward.

Porter Deters (2025, Harveyville, Kan.) handled the bat well all tournament long. He barreled up multiple baseballs, including an RBI triple that was one of the harder hit balls all weekend. Deters was the only player in the 14u bracket to record multiple triples in the tournament. Good instincts on the bases as well, reads balls in the dirt well and takes extra bases consistently.

Cale Fossett (2026, Roeland Park, Kan.) was a two-way performer this weekend. Hit .400 for the tournament with two extra-base hits and six runs scored. Fossett also struck out 10 in his outing on the mound without allowing a baserunner. In the field he showed a strong and accurate arm while making all the plays at third base.

Cole Ryherd (2027, Overland Park, Kan.) handled the bat well and showed good strike zone recognition this weekend while collecting multiple hits and walking four times. The leadoff hitter has good baserunning instincts and good baseball quickness which helped him steal five bases during the tournament. He works around the baseball with good fundamentals and soft hands in the infield as well. More than held his own as a 2027 in the 14u bracket.

Timothy Boston (2026, Kansas City, Kan.) had an impressive weekend at the plate, showing the ability to barrel the baseball consistently to go with good plate discipline. Hit .500 for the tournament with three extra-base hits and four walks. Seemed like he was consistently on base all weekend.

Sam Drennon (2025, Basehor, Kan.) threw two perfect innings this weekend. Recorded a total of three strikeouts while showing a good competitive demeanor on the mound. Moved a fastball around to both sides of the plate and showed a good feel for pitching.

Collin Smith (2025, Overland Park, Kan.) had a solid all around showing throughout the tournament, collecting multiple hits and stealing three bases. Made some impressive plays in the field including a backhand play at third base and another play where he ran nearly a hundred feet to get to a pop up in foul territory.

Griffin Hall (2027, Salina, Kan.) made one of the better defensive plays during the tournament when he ranged to his left at shortstop to make a diving catch before getting up to throw a runner out at first. At the plate he hit .364 during the tournament with four base hits and four runs scored.
